Mt. Shari stands among the mountains of Akan and Shiretoko. As one of the 100 Top Mountains in Japan, it is popular among climbers. There are three mountain trails. The most popular trail is the one going through "Seigakuso", the mountain hut in Kiyosato-Cho. On a fine day, you can enjoy a great view of Mt. Shari on the way from Abashiri to Kiyosato-Cho. You can find it easily because it is a single-peak mountain. Mt. Shari will surely impress you when it gets bigger as you come closer to Kiyosato-Cho.

NOTES
- Go into the forest road from Dodo (Hokkaido Prefectural Route) 857. About 8-km drive on the forest road will take you to the mountain hut "Seigakuso".
- Seigakuso… Stay overnight without meals / accommodation 50 people / parking 45 cars
