Kiyosato-Cho is at the doorway of a World Natural Heritage site, Shiretoko. The town has abundant of clean water at the foot of Mt. Shari, one of the 100 Top Mountains in Japan.

神の子池

Kaminokoike Pond

Kaminokoike (child of the gods) Pond got its name from stories that it is fed by underground waters from Lake Mashuko, which is known as Kamuito (Lake of the Gods) by the Ainu people.

さくらの滝

Sakuranotaki Falls

You can watch cherry salmon struggle to swim upstream in July and August.

裏摩周展望台

Uramashu Observatory

It's just amazing to see the clear blue surface of Lake Mashuko. You can also enjoy watching the trees reflecting themselves on the crystal clear blue lake.

男鹿の滝

Ojikanotaki Falls

It's a mysterious waterfall without a river upstream located deep in the mountain of Kiyosato-Cho. The water comes down from Mt. Shari and it emerges from the rocks at a rate of 30,000 tons per day.
